UTICA » Mo­hawk Val­ley Com­mu­nity Col­lege will host a free con­fer­ence on em­pow­er­ing tran­si­tion through tech­nol­ogy for stu­dents in grades 9-12 with dis­abil­i­ties, their fam­i­lies, and ed­u­ca­tors on Mon­day, May 21, be­gin­ning at 8:15 a.m. in the Jor­gensen Cen­ter Field House at the Utica Cam­pus, 1101 Sher­man Drive.

The Grow, Learn, and In­no­vate with Tech­nol­ogy (GL­ITCH) con­fer­ence is de­signed to help high school stu­dents with dis­abil­i­ties pre­pare for the tran­si­tion from school to adult life. The con­fer­ence pro­vides an op­por­tu­nity for stu­dents, their fam­i­lies and ed­u­ca­tors to learn about re­sources and ser­vices of­fered to stu­dents with dis­abil­i­ties, in­clud­ing in­for­ma­tion for liv­ing, learn­ing, and work­ing after high school.
