Dinner theater in Canastota
CANASTOTA, N.Y. >> Present Company Productions will stage a comedy of errors at its annual dinner theater at Theodore’s Restaurant this weekend.
“Moon Over Buffalo” is the story of George and Charlotte Hay, a couple of has-been Broadway stars who have taken their rundown touring theater company to the Erlanger Theatre in Buffalo. On-stage harmony is compromised when George performs an off-stage infidelity with repertory actress Eileen. When Charlotte learns of this, she prepares to leave with Richard, the family attorney. But as it turns out, a Hollywood bigwig is on his way to Buffalo to hire the couple, so the Hay family - including Ethel, the deaf mother-in-law; Rosalind, George’s daughter; and Paul, Rosalind’s ex-boyfriend - all work to help George out. Things get even more interesting when Rosalind’s fiance Howard appears.
The cast includes Dennis Willard, Anita Thibado, Chrissy Collier, Jim Hurd, Linda Hurd, Scott White, Carl DeFranco, and Sarah Sterling.
The dinner theater will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Theodore’s Restaurant on Route 5 in Canastota. Dinner will be at noon with a 1:30 showtime on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with an additional Saturday dinner at 6 p.m. and show at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for both the dinner and show are $32 for adults, and $31 for students and seniors. Tickets for the show only are $12 for adults, and $11 for students and seniors.
