EARLVILLE, N.Y. >> The Earlville Opera House will present the legendary Mary Gauthier on the EOHM a instage Friday, Nov. 9at 7 p.m., with opener Jaimee Harris.
“My job as a songwriter is to find that thing a soul needs to say,” said Gauthier, who works with veterans to help them express their emotions through song. “Each retreat I host brings together a dozen or so soldiers and four songwriters, three songs each in two days. We don’t have a choice. We have to stay focused, listen carefully, and make sure every veteran gets their own song. And we always do.”

Opening for Gauthier is Jaimee Harris, who grew up in Waco, Texas, a child to young high school sweetheart parents. When she was 5 years old, her father noticed she had taken an interest in music, and got her a guitar for Christmas. Soon after, she discovered EmmylouHarris and Fleetwood Mac.
