MENU

The t ypic al brewpub model involves a food truck out back , but West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault takes a more formal approach to food service. The microbrewery operates a full kitchen that serves pizza, wings, salads, tacos and sandwiches. Pizzas cost $12 to $16. The charcuterie plate is the most expensive item at $20. Beer remains the main attraction — West Palm Beach Brewery serves 15 craft brews and has a few beers on tap from other breweries — and there’s also wine.

ATMOSPHERE

West Palm Beach Brewery marks downtown’s entry into the craft beer craze, and the dining and drinking areas are a step up from the warehouse-style surroundings at some of Palm Beach County’s microbreweries. There are a few tables along 332 Evernia St., West Palm Beach, 561-619-8813 Hours: M-Wed., 4-10 p.m.; Thurs.-F, 4 p.m.-midnight; Sat., noon-midnight; Sun., noon-9 p.m. Note: Post writers will anonymously visit a restaurant in your neighborhood each week in search of the best menu item. They’ll tell you about that item and why they liked it in this spot each week. the sidewalk outside and many more tables inside. The kitchen occupies one corner of the dining room, and you can watch the chefs prepare pizzas and wings in the brick oven.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

The roasted cauliflower appetizer ($10) and the woodfired wings ($12) were both excellent and filling. We were less impressed by the pizza — the center of the crust was soggy.

REASON TO GO

A wide selection of craft beers and a cool atmosphere.

SERVICE

Friendly and helpful. When I asked for a pizza priced at $14, a server noted that the happy hour menu included a similar pie for just $9.

NOISE LEVEL

Loud. When we visited on a Friday night, the place was packed, and the room seemed to amplify the noise.

KID FRIENDLY

Not e s p e c i a l l y — i t ’s a microbrewery. However, we did see a few families with kids.
