VE­HI­CLE BUR­GLARY

A man left his car un­locked while he went into a store in the 1400 block of Hy­poluxo Road. Some­one stole his iPhone. Surveil­lance video cap­tured the in­ci­dent, show­ing some­one drive up in a ve­hi­cle, reach into the car and grab the cell­phone.

BAT­TERY

The owner of a busi­ness in the 600 block of North Dixie High­way com­plained that a for­mer client punched him in the face. He said the ex-client was an­gry about a brake line hose that was de­fec­tive. The busi­ness owner said he could not give him $20 for the cost of a new hose, but of­fered to re­pair it at an­other time. He said he did not want to pur­sue charges against his as­sailant, but wanted the in­ci­dent doc­u­mented in case the man re­turned. Po­lice re­sponded to a

re­port of a dis­tur­bance in the 800 block of North Fed­eral High­way. The found a man bleed­ing from his head and left arm. The man, who smelled of al­co­hol, said his friend at­tacked him with his fist, a cooler and a milk crate. Fire Res­cue treated him for his in­juries. An of­fi­cer talked to the friend, who claimed he gave $16 to the man and wanted it back. He said he pushed the man, and the fall caused the in­juries. The friend also had boozy breath. The of­fi­cer re­turned to the in­jured man to ask about the $16, and he said they spent it on beer. There was no sign of the cooler or crate used in the al­leged at­tack. The man said he did not want to press charges against his buddy and left the scene.

CRIM­I­NAL MIS­CHIEF

Some­one slashed two tires on a pickup in the 400 block of Wa­ter­way Drive. One tire was slashed on a sec­ond truck.
