A Volk­swa­gen Jetta stolen from the 11600 block of Ole­an­der Drive was re­cov­ered in Riviera Beach. The vic­tim was un­aware his car had been taken, as he was not at his res­i­dence when the theft oc­curred.

THEFT A man wrote a check to his son for $711 and placed it in an en­ve­lope in his mail­box. When his son, who lives in an­other part of the state, did not get the check, the man looked at his bank state­ment. He dis­cov­ered that some­one had cashed the check at a fi­nan­cial of­fice in the 10400 block of South­ern Boule­vard. His son’s sig­na­ture was forged. A man left his truck keys on the counter of a store in the 12000 block of South­ern Boule­vard. Surveil­lance video showed an­other cus­tomer pock­et­ing the keys and leav­ing the store. A deputy ad­vised the vic­tim, who was wait­ing for some­one to bring him a spare key, to make sure no one fol­lowed him home.
