The mis­sion of ASPIRA of Florida is to foster the so­cial ad­vance­ment of the Puerto Ri­can/ Latino com­mu­nity by em­pow­er­ing its youth in the pur­suit of ed­u­ca­tional ex­cel­lence through lead­er­ship de­vel­op­ment pro­grams that em­pha­size com­mit­ment to the com­mu­nity.

KEY PRO­GRAMS Youth Lead­er­ship De­vel­op­ment Out­reach:

Also known as our flag­ship Dropout Pre­ven­tion Pro­gram, it uti­lizes the ASPIRA Club Sys­tem to iden­tify, re­cruit and de­liver ser­vices.

Youth Lead­er­ship De­vel­op­ment:

In­tro­duces lead­er­ship skills, self­es­teem, goal set­ting, com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills and team build­ing to 20 ele­men­tary schools.

Youth Vi­o­lence Pre­ven­tion Pro­gram:

Helps stu­dents de­velop lead­er­ship skills, self- es­teem, goal set­ting, com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills and team-build­ing skills to pre­vent vi­o­lence. We serve five mid­dle schools in Palm Beach County, in­clud­ing Con­nis­ton, Palm Springs, L.C. Swain Mid­dle School, Okee­heelee, and Lake Worth.

Col­lege Bound Youth Bridge to Suc­cess Pro­gram:

Helps stu­dents de­velop lead­er­ship skills, self-es­teem, goal set­ting, com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills and team build­ing to get them ready for col­lege. We serve For­est Hill High School, Glades Cen­tral High School, Palm Beach Lakes High School and work with Palm Beach State Col­lege’s Lox­a­hatchee Cam­pus.

Youth Col­lege Bound Pro­gram:

Helps stu­dents de­velop lead­er­ship skills, self-es­teem, goal set­ting, com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills and team-build­ing skills in or­der to get them ready for col­lege. We serve San­taluces High School, Lake Worth High School, and John I. Leonard High School, and work with Palm Beach State Col­lege’s Lake Worth Cam­pus.

Ap­pren­tice­ship Pro­gram (Funded by The Celia Lip­ton Far­ris and Vic­tor W. Far­ris Foun­da­tion, Inc):

As­sists first-gen­er­a­tion col­lege stu­dents and mi­nor­ity stu­dents ex­cel aca­dem­i­cally, make pos­i­tive life choices, and be ready for the work­place. In ad­di­tion, help place stu­dents in in­tern­ships that will help them ex­cel in their col­lege ma­jor. We serve Palm Beach State Col­lege’s Lox­a­hatchee, Boca Ra­ton, and Lake Worth cam­puses.
