JA High School Heroes:
experience business fundamentals and the art and hard work of entrepreneurship.
Students explore the basic characteristics of the U.S. economic system and how economic principles influence business decisions.
Uses hands-on activities to explain complex economic concepts such as supply and demand, inflation, and the production, distribution and consumption of goods. Provides students the opportunity to become role models by teaching and inspiring elementary school students. Prepares students to be entrepreneurial thinkers in their approach to work. Explores the fundamental elements of personal finances; earnings, savings and investing, budgeting, credit, risk management, and giving. Allows students to operate a virtual company through a web-based simulation. Enables companies to present an entire elementary or middle school program over the course of five to six hours.
