TV QUESTIONS

The Palm Beach Post - TV Post - - Front Page - By JAY BOBBIN

Q: I recently saw Erika Christensen in the 2002 movie Swimfan. What is she up to these days? —Bart Bartholomew, West Bend, Wis.

A: She’s co-starring as Julia in the NBC series Parenthood. She also appears with Jesse Metcalfe in the suspense movie The Tortured, which was awaiting an American release date at this writing after debuting on DVD in other parts of the world. Q: I would like to know if CBS is canceling good shows like NCIS and The Good Wife for yet another reality show, the Paula Abdul one. Please tell me it’s not true. —Millie Rau, Lakewood, Colo.

A: OK ... it’s not true. The network just gave Abdul’s Live to Dance a Tuesday-night launch at the start of the month; it’s now seen regularly on Wednesdays. The usual Tuesday lineup of NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife remains intact.

Q: I loved The Walking Dead on AMC. Will there be a sequel? It just can’t end that way. — Joyce Kenna, Stuart

A: No, it can’t. If by “sequel,” you mean “second season,” there absolutely will be one. The horror drama was a blockbuster for AMC, speaking in terms relative to cable programming, so it was a no-brainer that the series would be renewed.

We can tell you exactly when the new episodes will begin: Halloween, which also happened to be the night when the show premiered last fall.

Q: My girlfriend and I love to watch Human Target. We would like to know what nationality Mark Valley hails from. —Loretta McCann, Everett, Wash.

A: He hails from Ogdensburg, N.Y., which is on the border directly across from Canada.

Q: What ever happened to the Lifetime show Drop Dead Diva? Any chance it’s scheduled to return? —Bunny Hyman, Massapequa, N.Y.

A: The Brooke Elliott-starring show has been renewed; its new episodes typically have started in the summer, so expect to see fresh stories then.
