The series wraps up its nine-season run tonight. If all goes well, Barney and Robin (Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders) will finally tie the knot, and Ted (Josh Radnor) will finally meet his children’s mother in the hourlong series finale, Last Forever. Created by Dana Klein, who worked on Friends, this new series focuses on how six pals relate to one another 12 years after their single student days. Bobby and Andi (Kevin Connolly, Majandra Delfino) are married, Jules and Lowell (Brooklyn Decker, Rick Donald) are engaged, Will (James Van Der Beek) is newly divorced, and Kate (Zoe Lister-Jones) is still looking.
The Story of the Jews With Simon Schama 1011 p.m., WXEL, WPBT
The five-part series concludes with The Return, in which Schama discusses how the Holocaust and the creation of Israel have shaped modern Jewish identity — and how Israel has shaped world events. Contributors include writer David Grossman, photographer Micha Bar-Am, kibbutz founder Freddie Kahan, West Bank settler Zvi Cooper and Palestinian villager Yacoub Odeh. Cougar Town 10-10:30 p.m., TBS

While Bellamy (Bob Morley) takes his crew on a search for food, Clarke, Finn and Wells (Eliza Taylor, Thomas McDonell, Eli Goree) seek a remedy for Jasper’s (Devon Bostick) wounds. A thick, acidic fog forces them to take shelter inside an old van, where Clarke confronts Wells on his betrayal. Paige Turco also stars in the new episode Earth Kills. Maddie (Lennon Stella) posts a video online in which she refers to herself as Maddie Claybourne — basically telling the world that her father is Deacon (Charles Esten). Needless to say, Rayna (Connie Britton) doesn’t take this well, and she isn’t the only one. Hayden Panettiere also stars in the new episode Crazy.
NBA Basketball 8-10:30 p.m., TNT
Two teams that could very well see each other in the Western Conference Finals meet for the last time in the regular season tonight in Oklahoma City, where Kevin Durant and Thunder defend home hardwood from Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs. New episodes return with Til Death. Al (Dylan Walsh) suspects a link between the murder of a wealthy couple and a series of homicides he investigated in the past but never solved. He and Carrie (Poppy Montgomery) pose as a married couple in hopes of luring in the killer. Jane Curtin and Dallas Roberts also star. Raising Hope 9-10 p.m., WFLX
The sitcom bids farewell with a onehour finale. Lesley Nicol ( Downton Abbey) guest stars in the first half as Jimmy and Sabrina’s (Lucas Neff, Shannon Woodward) new maid. Then Virginia’s (Martha Plimpton) dad (guest star Jeffrey Tambor) comes to town with a surprise in How I Met Your Mullet; The Father Daughter Dance.
