Baltimore Ravens safet y a n d f o r me r D w y e r H i g h School standout Matt Elam was arrested in Miami-Dade County early Sunday morning on multiple drug charges.

Elam, 25, was booked in a Miami-Dade County jail at 3:45 a.m. on charges of possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis, possession of cannabis with the intent to sell or deliver, and possession of a controlled substance.

Elam, a 2013 first-round draft pick, was found with 126 grams of marijuana and 3 grams of oxycodone in his vehicle, after being pulled over for reckless driving, according to ESPN.com.

After leading Dwyer to its fifirst football state title in 2009, Elam p l ay e d f o r t h r e e s e a - sons at the University of Florida and earned fifirst- team Associated Press All-America status as a junior for a Gators squad that went 11-2 and boasted one of the country’s top defenses.

Elam was drafted by the Ravens in the fifirst round with the 32nd overall pick. In his rookie season, he recorded 77 tackles and one interception.

Elam will become an unrestricted free agent on March 9 after the Ravens declined last year to pick up the optional fififth year of the contract he signed as a rookie.

“We are aware of the arrest o f Mat t E l a m, ” a R av e n s spokesperson told The Baltimore Sun on Sunday. “Matt is not in our plans for the 2017 Ravens.”

Elam, who missed all of 2015 with a torn biceps and played only nine games last year after suffering a knee injury, will be facing discipline from the for the second time. He was suspended for one game in 2015 for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.

At Dwyer, Elam was a twotime Lou Groza Award winner as the Palm Beach County Player of the Year, won Florida’s 2009 Mr. Football award and was a consensus All-American.
