Booster seat giveaway Oct. 21 at Gaines Park

Gaines Park and Community Center is hosting a free booster seat giveaway on Oct. 21 provided by Safe Kids Palm Beach County and BRIDGES at West Palm Beach.

Free booster seats will be given to the first 65 families who attend with children who have outgrown their child safety seat.

All seats must leave installed, and all kids must be present in order to receive a seat. Child Protective Services techs will help with seat installations, and ensure they comply with Florida law. The law says that any child up until the age of 6 must travel in a child safety seat, to protect them in the event of an accident.

The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon, is sponsored by Cohen Milstein Sellers and Toll.

Gaines Park is at 1501 N. Australian Ave.
