Sal­va­tore DiQuattro of Greenacres, FL, passed away peace­fully in his sleep at the home of his daugh­ter in Kew Gar­den, NY on Oc­to­ber 1, 2017. He was born in New York City on May 7, 1932 to Paolo and Grace DiQuattro. He served in the Army from 1951-1953 and worked for Ver­i­zon un­til he re­tired in 1991. He was pas­sion­ate about food, wine, women, Billy Hol­l­i­day, old movies and the Gi­ants. He was a gifted story teller with a great sense of hu­mor, charm­ing and witty es­pe­cially around women. He made no ex­cuses for the way he lived and told it ex­actly the way he saw it. He is sur­vived by his chil­dren, Kim DiQuattro, Cathy Kroopf, Paolo DiQuattro, and 8 grand­chil­dren and his two cats, Chip and Stumpy. A Me­mo­rial Ser­vice and burial will be held on Oc­to­ber 14 at 10:00AM at St. Charles Ceme­tery, Farm­ing­dale, NY.
