Hospi­tal re­ceives ‘A’ for pa­tient safety

Palm Beach Gar­dens Med­i­cal Cen­ter, 3360 Burns Road, re­ceived an “A” in Leapfrog’s Hospi­tal Safety Grade, which uses 30 mea­sures of pub­licly avail­able hospi­tal safety data to as­sign grades to more than 2,600 hos­pi­tals twice a year.

You can view all of the cri­te­ria and re­sults at hos­pi­tal­safe­ty­grade.org by search­ing for Palm Beach Gar­dens Med­i­cal Cen­ter. Leapfrog rated hos­pi­tals in cat­e­gories such as in­fec­tions, prob­lems with surgery, prac­tices to pre­vent er­rors, safety prob­lems and hospi­tal staff.

“At Palm Beach Gar­dens Med­i­cal Cen­ter, we con­tin­u­ously strive to main­tain the high­est stan­dards for pa­tient safety, and it’s grat­i­fy­ing to be rec­og­nized for those ef­forts,” CEO Dianne Gold­en­berg said in a news re­lease.
