5 rescued after boat capsizes off inlet

Five men were plucked from the water Sunday afternoon after their boat capsized in the Atlantic Ocean about 3 miles east of the Lake Worth Inlet, the U.S. Coast Guard reported.

After receiving a call about a capsized vessel from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, rescue crews at about 3:30 p.m. found the five men clinging to their 26-foot pleasure boat, officials reported. The men were taken to the Lake Park Marina where they received emergency medical treatment.

Informatio­n was not immediatel­y available about the condition of the men or what caused the boat to capsize.
