Time to renew payments for business taxes

JUPITER — Business tax receipt renewal season in Jupiter has begun.

Business tax receipts, or BTRs, are annual taxes collected by the town from all businesses located in the town or those that do business within town limits.

BTR renewals began July 1 and will run through Oct. 31. BTR customers can access their records online via the new Jupiter Community Development System ( JCDS).

The town also offers user guides for new accounts, how to renew a BTR and how to make changes to an existing BTR.

For questions, contact the town’s Business Tax Receipt office at 561741-2318. The BTR office at 210 Military Trail also has counter hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Early renewals for business and professional licenses began July 1. Licenses must be renewed annually. The licensing year is Oct. 1 to Sept. 30. Required documentation and fees vary. For information, visit the town’s website at jupiter.fl.us.
