Revo­lu­tion­aryWar En­camp­men­tWalk: Come hear the story of the en­camp­ment of Gen­eral Washington and his sol­diers at Pen­ny­packer Mills in 1777as we walk on the grounds not­ing where sol­diers camped and to see the gravesites where some were buried Sun­day, Oct. 1, from 1to 2p.m. Meet at the porch of the man­sion for the walk. The ex­hibit will fea­ture Mi­cro­barbi’s cre­ations and high­light­ing rare lo­cal an­tique toy col­lec­tions. At­ten­dees at the open­ing will re­ceive a spe­cial pass to the exclusive wine and cheese af­ter­party at the Colo­nial The­atre. This is a free event. Com­mu­nity Day: The Ki­wa­nis Club of Phoenixville will spon­sor its an­nual Com­mu­nity Day Satur­day, Oct. 7, in Reeves Park. The rain date is Satur­day, Oct. 14. The perime­ter of the park will be filled with a va­ri­ety of ven­dors, in­clud­ing a flea mar­ket, new items, crafts and com­mu­nity groups. Chil­dren’s games and ac­tiv­i­ties and food ven­dors will be lo­cated within the park. En­ter­tain­ment will take place through­out the day at the band­shell. In ad­di­tion, lo­cal fire com­pa­nies will bring their trucks and equipment to dis­play on Main Street be­tween Sec­ond and Third av­enues. Ven­dors will be set up by 8a.m. All other ac­tiv­i­ties will be­gin at 9a.m. All ac­tiv­i­ties con­clude at 3p.m. The cost to rent a stand for ven­dors is $15if paid by Oct. 5. After that date, the cost is $20. The cost for food ven­dors is $75. In ad­di­tion, food ven­dors are re­spon­si­ble for ob­tain­ing a Tem­po­rary Event Li­cense from the Ch­ester County Health De­part­ment. War­ren Kampf, R-157, will present the Women En­trepreneurs & Women Veter­ans Expo Oct. 7from 2to 7p.m. in the Phoenixville Mid­dle School gym­na­sium, 1000Pur­ple Pride Park­way, Phoenixville. This is an op­por­tu­nity for women to con­nect from dif­fer­ent pro­fes­sional sec­tors to ed­u­cate, share in­for­ma­tion and inspire women of all ages to be­come suc­cess­ful busi­ness own­ers. It is an op­por­tu­nity to pro­vide an en­vi­ron­ment for women en­trepreneurs to pro­mote their prod­ucts or ser­vices, de­velop new cus­tomers and ex­po­sure for their busi­ness, learn, expand and net­work with other busi­nesses.
