MAS­TER KIM’S BLACK BELT ACADEMY ALONG WITH ST. JOHN’S EVAN­GEL­I­CAL LUTHERAN CHURCH RE­CENTLY PRO­VIDED A DEMON­STRA­TION FOR THE PUB­LIC ON STRANGER DAN­GER AND BUL­LY­ING AT THE BOY­ER­TOWN AREA STATE THE­ATER. SCHOOL OWNER AND HEAD IN­STRUC­TOR, MAS­TER KURT MILLER, ALONG WITH HIS CHIL­DREN’S LEAD­ER­SHIP TEAM PER­FORMED A FEW DIF­FER­ENT SCE­NAR­IOS, WHILE MAK­ING KEY POINTS IN SHOW­ING HOW A CHILD COULD RE­ACT AND RE­SPOND IF APPROACHED BY A STRANGER OR BULLY. THE STU­DENTS SHOWED HOW TO BE AS­SERTIVE WHEN US­ING WORDS AND BODY LAN­GUAGE TO DE­TER UN­WANTED AT­TEN­TION WHILE MAIN­TAIN- ING A SAFE AND COM­FORT­ABLE BOUND­ARY.

REP­RE­SENT­ING THE CHIL­DREN’S LEAD­ER­SHIP TEAM WERE ELYE MASTON, GIA OR­LANDO, CHRISTO­PHER HAYDT, MATTHEW LAPISH, SARAH FREESE, NATHAN FREESE AND HUNTER HEALY.
