Sam­sung SDI un­veils ta­ble top sur­face with fea­tures of nat­u­ral mar­ble

SEOUL, South Korea — “Is this solid sur­face?” This is the re­ac­tion from the cus­tomers and those from the in­dus­try who vis­ited Sam­sung SDI’s pre­mium solid sur­face ‘Supreme’ launch­ing show.

Around 150 peo­ple re­lated to con­struc­tion and in­te­rior in­dus­tries at­tended the launch­ing event at Silla Stay, Gang­nam, ex­press­ing their great im­pres­sion about ‘Supreme’ say­ing “no­body would imag­ine Supreme is solid sur­face un­less in­formed.”

‘Supreme’ is solid sur­face, which was de­vel­oped to max­i­mize the fea­tures of nat­u­ral stones with the new pat­tern. It fea­tures the lux­u­ri­ous and gen­uine color and wave pat­tern of the nat­u­ral mar­ble.

Like other solid sur­face prod­ucts pre­vi­ously de­vel­oped by Sam­sung SDI, ‘Supreme’ is con­tam­i­na­tion-free and has a wide range of ap­pli­ca­tions. Es­pe­cially, ‘Supreme’ is the re­sult of R&D to max­i­mize the aes­thetic fac­tor of the prod­uct.

The ex­ist­ing solid sur­faces were mostly de­signed with sim­ple and ar­ti­fi­cial pat­terns. Thanks to its ac­cu­mu­lated skills and know-hows, Sam­sung SDI suc­cess­fully cre­ated the new solid sur­face with the nat­u­ral pat­tern which is hard to dis­tin­guish from the gen­uine nat­u­ral stones.

Re­flect­ing the latest trend of home and of­fice in­te­ri­ors, Sam­sung SDI launches a se­ries of ‘Supreme’ prod­ucts with 10 dif­fer­ence col­ors, which will sat­isfy var­i­ous cus­tomers, this Septem­ber.

Us­ing its in-house tech­nol­ogy, Sam­sung SDI launched its own solid sur­face

brand ‘Staron’ in 1992, and ‘Supreme’ is one of pre­mium prod­ucts of ‘Staron’. ‘Staron’ is a ho­moge­nous ma­te­rial with strong re­sis­tance to chem­i­cals and pol­lu­tion and has ex­cel­lent di­men­sional flex­i­bil­ity. In 2007 the glit­ter­ing solid sur­face, ‘Tem­pest’, which con­tains the jew­elry like trans­par­ent chips, was un­veiled in the mar­ket.

In 2009, the pre­mium en­gi­neered stone ‘ Ra­di­anz ’ was launched and ap­pealed to the high-end in­te­rior ma­te­rial mar­ket.

In the open­ing day, Vin­cent Gre­goire, the gen­eral di­rec­tor of the world­wide French de­sign trend con­sult­ing firm Nelly-Rodi, had a speech on the de­sign trend and showed great ex­pec­ta­tion on ‘Supreme.’

“Supreme is a unique prod­uct which en­hances the fea­tures of the nat­u­ral stone”, Vin­cent Gre­goire said, “It is ex­pected to at­tract great in­ter­est from the in­dus­try.”

SangKook Lee, vice pres­i­dent of Sam­sung SDI Ar­chi­tec­tural Prod­uct Team, said “The launch­ing of pre­mium solid sur­face ‘Supreme’, will serve as a mo­men­tum for us to build up the lead­ing sta­tus in the global solid sur­face mar­ket.”
