COLO­NIAL HEIGHTS - A Celtic con­tem­pla­tive wor­ship ser­vice will be held at 5 p.m. to­day and on the se­cond Satur­day of each month at Colo­nial Heights Pres­by­te­rian Church, 211 Lynch­burg Ave. The ser­vice is rooted in the litur­gi­cal tra­di­tions of Iona, Scot­land, and Ire­land. Prayers, texts, prose and po­etry ad­dress the mys­ter­ies and chal­lenges of ev­ery­day life. Si­lence, prayer and the cel­e­bra­tion of Com­mu­nion at The Lord's Ta­ble are cen­tral com­po­nents of this ser­vice. The church will pro­vide a "Sim­ply Salad Sup­per", fol­low­ing the ser­vice for all at­tend­ing.
