Hen­ri­cus Spring Gar­den Day

CH­ESTER — Hen­ri­cus His­tor­i­cal Park will host Spring Gar­den Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satur­day, May 20. The pub­lic is in­vited to learn about colo­nial hor­ti­cul­ture and method­olo­gies.

Gar­dens at the liv­inghis­tory mu­seum in­clude the Vir­ginia In­dian gar­den, English of­fi­cer’s gar­den, English sol­dier’s gar­den, plan­ta­tion gar­den and gar­den at Mt. Mal­ady. Ad­mis­sion for the event is $8 adults and $6 for chil­dren ages 3–12. Ad­mis­sion is free for Hen­ri­cus pa­trons.

An in­ter­ac­tive twohour work­shop on herbal reme­dies for be­gin­ners will be pre­sented from 1–3 p.m. by Ni­cole Pisaniello, Hen­ri­cus Do­mes­tic Skills spe­cial­ist. This class is for adults, 18 and older, and costs $50 per par­tic­i­pant. Reg­is­ter by Fri­day, May 19, by call­ing 748-1611.
