Henricus Spring Garden Day
CHESTER — Henricus Historical Park will host Spring Garden Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 20. The public is invited to learn about colonial horticulture and methodologies.
Gardens at the livinghistory museum include the Virginia Indian garden, English officer’s garden, English soldier’s garden, plantation garden and garden at Mt. Malady. Admission for the event is $8 adults and $6 for children ages 3–12. Admission is free for Henricus patrons.
An interactive twohour workshop on herbal remedies for beginners will be presented from 1–3 p.m. by Nicole Pisaniello, Henricus Domestic Skills specialist. This class is for adults, 18 and older, and costs $50 per participant. Register by Friday, May 19, by calling 748-1611.
