Thomas Nel­son Glenn, 61, of S. Ch­ester­field, passed away Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 3, 2017. He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, Paul Lind­sey Glenn and Ernes­tine Reaves Glenn; and brother, Paul Glenn. Thomas served 20 years in the U.S. Army, com­plet­ing a tour in Op­er­a­tion Desert Storm. He earned four Army Com­men­da­tion Medals and was a five time re­cip­i­ent of the Good Con­duct Medal. He was also a mem­ber of the Amer­i­can Le­gion. Thomas en­joyed watch­ing col­lege foot­ball and cheer­ing on his fa­vorite team, Penn State. He also loved spend­ing time car­ing for his three beau­ti­ful grand­daugh­ters.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Ok Sun Glenn; two daugh­ters, Nancy Pay­ton Glenn and Ch­eryl Win­field (Stan­ley); three grand­daugh­ters, Akira Pay­ton, Maria Pay­ton and Kiana Pay­ton; eight sib­lings, Roy Glenn, James Glenn, Anthony Glenn, John Glenn, Jac­quline Coates, Peggy Wilder, Daisy Hall and Mary Glenn; and nu­mer­ous nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

A fu­neral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 10, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W. Wash­ing­ton St., Petersburg, VA 23803. In­ter­ment will fol­low at St. Joseph Catholic Ceme­tery. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at the church one hour prior to the fu­neral mass from 10 a.m un­til 11 a.m. The fam­ily is be­ing served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
