MARIANNE A. M. PITTMAN
Marianne Alyce “Mickey” McCarron Pittman of Prince George, Virginia, passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 29, 2017, after a brief illness. Born April 19, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Mickey graduated from Prince George High School and worked at Fort Lee for 34 years before retiring. Her smile and laugh, her love of socializing with all, traveling to spend time with friends and family, hosting family holidays, baking the best lasagna, and winning chili cook-offs will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her parents James “Mac” and Amelia “Millie” McCarron and her brother James “Jim” McCarron, Mickey is survived by her devoted husband Jimmie Lee Pittman, daughters Alyce Anne Hannon and Kathleen Mary O’Carroll, sons Joseph O’Carroll and John O’Carroll, grandchildren Amelia Anne Phillips, Trey Phillips, Priscilla Leann Jean, Hailey Elizabeth Hannon, Katherine Alyce “Katie” Hannon, Joseph Thomas “Joey” O’Carroll, Addison Jack “AJ” O’Carroll, and John Mason O’Carroll, sister-in-law Alice Faye McCarron and nephews Michael McCarron and Sean McCarron.
Per Mickey’s wishes, the Cremation Society of Virginia is taking care of final arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Mickey’s honor.
The family is planning a celebration of life to be held later in November.
