Overcoming ‘Attitude’

The Progress-Index Weekend - - OPINION -

The disappointments of life can cause one to see nothing but negativity in your future. You express hopelessness, belittle your own abilities, refuse to take any risk, say no to personal growth opportunities, complain about the unfairness of life, and say that nothing you do will make a difference in a particular circumstance.

Brothers and sisters attitudes are nothing more than habits of thought, and habits can be acquired. An action repeated becomes an attitude realized. That means with practice, you can overcome a negative attitude. A “pessimist” is one who makes difficulties of his or her opportunities, an a “optimist” is one who makes opportunities of his or her difficulties. When we face a difficulty today brothers and sisters, see it as an opportunity because He who is greater than He who is in the world.

If you have experienced a storm when around other people, you know not everyone responds the same way. When it comes to the upheavals we face, our varied responses can have a significant impact down the road. Storms are unavoidable in life. When one comes your way, the wisest thing you can do is to cry out to God Almighty.

God Almighty is not waiting for us to blow it so He can pounce on us. God Almighty is in the business of grace, forgiveness, and restoration. We need only to recognize that our sin is neither cute nor excusable and come to God Almighty in faith and repentance. God Almighty be merciful to me, a sinner. There is now no condemnation brothers and sisters for those who are in God Almighty. Amen.

Who might we encourage today? Does someone come to mind who is diligent in following God Almighty and seeking to please Him? Make a phone call or write a note and urge this person to keep on their faith journey with God Almighty. You can change. Enough said!
