International Food Tasting/Silent Auction
Women’s Committee for the Petersburg Symphony Orchestra to host 11th annual fundraiser
PETERSBURG – The Women’s Committee for the Petersburg Symphony Orchestra (WCPSO) will host its 11th annual International Food Tasting/Silent Auction on Oct. 13. This year’s event will be held from 1–4 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church’s Community Life Center, 444 Halifax St.
The community is invited to “please come out on Saturday, Oct 13th, and sample a wide selection of delicious food contributed by many local restaurants and caterers; silently bid on unique items that will be displayed on the Silent Auction tables; and enjoy a delicious glass of wine while listening to the Petersburg Symphony Orchestra Ensemble present an inspiring and enjoyable presentation of classical music.”
The WCPSO appreciates the community’s participation last year and look forward to “having you this year to make this an even bigger success.”
The WCPSO would like to again thank all vendors who participated in last year’s International Food Tasting event. A statement released by the WCPSO reads, “We are honored to have you partner with us as a vendor providing delicious samples of your cuisine as part of our tasting extravaganza. We look forward to seeing you all again this year and we welcome all new vendors.”
Vendors who will be offering samples of their cuisine this year include: Catered Affairs by Shelby, Mason’s Catering, Tier 7 Eatery, Maria’s old Town 21, Tramonto Ristorante, Shut Your Mouf Restaurant, Jimmy’s Grill, Exquisite Taste, Alexander’s Fine Food, Gateway/Thompson Hospitality, Sweet Temptations, Custom Artisan/Cakes LLC, Cakes & Moore Bakery, Joe’s Steak & Seafood, Sweet Jesus Potato Pie, Captain D’s, Crocker’s Spot, and the Puerto Rican Bakery & Cafe.
The cost for this event is $30 per ticket and may be purchased from any member of the Women’s Committee. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
