Women’s Com­mit­tee for the Peters­burg Sym­phony Orches­tra to host 11th an­nual fundraiser

PETERS­BURG – The Women’s Com­mit­tee for the Peters­burg Sym­phony Orches­tra (WCPSO) will host its 11th an­nual In­ter­na­tional Food Tast­ing/Silent Auc­tion on Oct. 13. This year’s event will be held from 1–4 p.m. at the Taber­na­cle Bap­tist Church’s Com­mu­nity Life Cen­ter, 444 Hal­i­fax St.

The com­mu­nity is in­vited to “please come out on Satur­day, Oct 13th, and sam­ple a wide se­lec­tion of de­li­cious food con­trib­uted by many lo­cal restau­rants and cater­ers; silently bid on unique items that will be dis­played on the Silent Auc­tion ta­bles; and en­joy a de­li­cious glass of wine while lis­ten­ing to the Peters­burg Sym­phony Orches­tra En­sem­ble present an in­spir­ing and en­joy­able pre­sen­ta­tion of clas­si­cal mu­sic.”

The WCPSO ap­pre­ci­ates the com­mu­nity’s par­tic­i­pa­tion last year and look for­ward to “hav­ing you this year to make this an even big­ger suc­cess.”

The WCPSO would like to again thank all ven­dors who par­tic­i­pated in last year’s In­ter­na­tional Food Tast­ing event. A state­ment re­leased by the WCPSO reads, “We are hon­ored to have you part­ner with us as a ven­dor pro­vid­ing de­li­cious sam­ples of your cui­sine as part of our tast­ing ex­trav­a­ganza. We look for­ward to see­ing you all again this year and we wel­come all new ven­dors.”

Ven­dors who will be of­fer­ing sam­ples of their cui­sine this year in­clude: Catered Af­fairs by Shelby, Ma­son’s Ca­ter­ing, Tier 7 Eatery, Maria’s old Town 21, Tra­monto Ris­torante, Shut Your Mouf Restau­rant, Jimmy’s Grill, Ex­quis­ite Taste, Alexan­der’s Fine Food, Gate­way/Thomp­son Hos­pi­tal­ity, Sweet Temp­ta­tions, Cus­tom Ar­ti­san/Cakes LLC, Cakes & Moore Bak­ery, Joe’s Steak & Seafood, Sweet Je­sus Po­tato Pie, Cap­tain D’s, Crocker’s Spot, and the Puerto Ri­can Bak­ery & Cafe.

The cost for this event is $30 per ticket and may be pur­chased from any mem­ber of the Women’s Com­mit­tee. Tick­ets will not be sold at the door.
