God called an­other one of his An­gels home An­nie Wood­ley Jack­son, af­fec­tion­ately known as Big Mama on Oc­to­ber 9, 2018, at Din­wid­die Health and Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Fa­cil­ity. She was born Novem­ber 1, 1932, to the late Lu­bin and Fran­cis Wood­ley of Amelia, VA. She was pre­ceded in death by her sis­ters, Fran­cis Wil­liams and Eleanor Brown; broth­ers, Wil­lie, An­thony, Benny, and Robert Wade Wood­ley.

An­nie was a mem­ber of the Branches Runn Bap­tist Church of Amelia, VA, where she faith­fully served on the Mis­sion­ary Min­istry un­til her health de­clined.

She at­tended and grad­u­ated from Rus­sell Grove High School. An­nie re­tired from Levi Strauss Sewing Fac­tory af­ter 20+ years of ser­vice.

An­nie is sur­vived by 5 daugh­ters, Mary Wood­ley of Amelia, VA, Char­lotte Ed­monds of Black­stone, VA, Dea­con Pa­tri­cia Jack­son of Ford, VA, Mae Jones of Din­wid­die, VA, and Dea­con Tina Ma­son (Calvin) of Ford, VA; 2 sons, William Cur­tis Jack­son of Hopewell, VA, and Lorenzo Jack­son of Peters­burg, VA; 2 broth­ers, Dea­con Frank Wood­ley (Rosa) and Thomas Wood­ley (Patsy) of Black­stone, VA. She is also sur­vived by 8 grand­chil­dren, An­tionette Wood­ley, An­gela Ed­monds, Tif­faney Jack­son, Lisa Jen­nings(Rus­sell), Lorenzo Rouse, Stephanie Winfield, Tavaris Jones, and Kristina Ma­son; 10 great-grand­chil­dren, Trevor Jack­son, Jaquan Jen­nings, Javon Jen­nings, Makiya Fowlkes, Jaykala Booker, Dar­rius Jack­son, Jhamari Booker, Lashaud Rouse, Sky­lar Ste­wart, and LaShae Hardy Rouse; one great great-grand­child Mi­lan Jack­son; 3 sis­tersin-law, Mary Rosa Robin­son(Fred), Margie Brookes, Shirley Jack­son and Vir­ginia Wood­ley; a host of nieces, neph­ews, and cousins; 2 de­voted nieces, Re­becca Ed­monds(Richard) and Feli­cia Wood­ley; in­di­vid­u­als who were close and spe­cial to her, Ann Jones, Wal­ter Drew, Queen Fin­ney, He­len Thorpe, and a spe­cial thanks to the Din­wid­die Health and Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Fa­cil­ity.

A cel­e­bra­tion of life ser­vice will be held on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 16, 2018, 2:00pm at Branches Runn Bap­tist Church, 3830 Wood­ley Drive, Amelia Court House, VA. A pub­lic view­ing will be from 10am-8pm at the Peters­burg-Chapel Joseph M. John­son & Son Fu­neral Home, 530 S. Sycamore Street, Peters­burg, VA (804) 863-4411.
