Merit badge work­shops set for Jan. 28

CH­ESTER­FIELD —The Ch­ester­field His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety of Vir­ginia, (CHSV), in part­ner­ship with the Ch­ester­field County Depart­ment of Parks and Recre­ation, is plan­ning to present a Ge­neal­ogy merit badge work­shop for Boy Scouts and a Boy Scout Cit­i­zen­ship in the Na­tion Merit Badge Work­shop.

The Boy Scout Ge­neal­ogy Merit Badge Work­shop will be held on Satur­day, Jan. 28, from 2-4 p.m. at His­toric Trin­ity Church, 10111 Iron Bridge Road. This work­shop ful­fills merit badge re­quire­ments con­cern­ing ge­neal­ogy and fam­ily his­tory re­search. The cost is $10 per Scout and reg­is­tra­tion and pay­ment must be made in ad­vance by vis­it­ing the CHSV web­site at www. chester­field­his­tory.com. The Boy Scout Cit­i­zen­ship in the Na­tion Merit Badge Work­shop will be held on Satur­day, Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at His­toric Trin­ity Church, 10111 Iron Bridge Road. This work­shop ful­fills merit badge re­quire­ments by al­low­ing scouts to un­der­stand their rights, lib­er­ties and free­doms as cit­i­zens. The cost is $10 and reg­is­tra­tion and pay­ment must be made in ad­vance by vis­it­ing the CHSV web­site at www.chester­field­his­tory.com.
