The story of Dolley Madison
CHESTERFIELD — Three branches of the Chesterfield County Public Library will host a one-woman presentation during Black History Month focusing on slave life on the Montpelier plantation and the James and Dolley Madison White House.
Locally, the program will be presented from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Ettrick-Matoaca branch, located at 4501 River Road, South Chesterfield.
Through Sukey’s storytelling, Charmaine Crowell-White will explore the personality and talents of Dolley Madison.
Registration is required for this program and begins Jan. 21.
