Louise Tem­ple Worsham, 92, of Petersburg, Vir­ginia, passed away peace­fully on Novem­ber 12, 2017. Louise was born in Warfield, VA, and raised in Petersburg. She was the mid­dle daugh­ter of five to Con­rad Lit­tle­ton Tem­ple and Anne Eliz­a­beth Reams. She was the last sur­viv­ing sis­ter, pre­de­ceased by Vir­ginia, Doris, Inez, and Anne.

A grad­u­ate of Petersburg High School, Louise loved to tell the story, I grad­u­ated from high school and went to work for the bank the next day. She had a 48-year suc­cess­ful ca­reer and re­tired from to­day’s SunTrust Bank.

Her lov­ing hus­band, Leon Leroy Worsham, died in 2002, but hardly a day went by that she didn’t speak of him. They did quite a bit of trav­el­ing, and greatly en­joyed Sun­day din­ner af­ter church at Coun­try Club of Petersburg, where they were long­time mem­bers. Louise moved to McKen­ney in 2005, where she made quite a few spe­cial friends. She resided at Petersburg Home for Ladies since 2014.

A grave­side ser­vice will be held 1 p.m. Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 15, at Bland­ford Ceme­tery. Do­na­tions may be made to the Petersburg Home for Ladies Fel­low­ship Fund, 311 S. Jef­fer­son Street, Petersburg, VA 23803.
