Kather­ine Cox Lee, 84, of Prince Ge­orge, went to be with her Lord and Sav­ior on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 8, 2017. She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, Cor­nice Cor­nell Cox and Geneva Louise West­book Cox; her lov­ing hus­band of 45 years, Rev­erend Julius Hay­wood Lee; and her brother, Zeke Cox. She was a de­voted wife, mother, mother-in- law, and grand­mother.

Kather­ine was a mem­ber of Ma­toaca United Methodist Church where she taught Sun­day School, Va­ca­tion Bi­ble School, served com­mu­nion and vis­ited shut-ins from her church, led Bi­ble stud­ies, played the or­gan and pi­ano, and sang in the choir.

Kather­ine loved ev­ery­one and was an ex­am­ple of a true Chris­tian and wit­nessed her faith to any­one she met. Kather­ine loved her fam­ily and friends and was very proud of her daugh­ter, son-in-law, and es­pe­cially her grand­daugh­ter.

She is sur­vived by her daugh­ter, Martha Lee King and her hus­band, Keith; grand­daugh­ter, Cyn­thia Re­bekah King; broth­ers, Cor­nell Cox (Jane), Jerry Cox (Nikki), Gene Cox (Mary Kay); sis­ter-in- law, Carolyn Cox; dear friend, Vir­ginia Lit­tell; and nu­mer­ous nieces, neph­ews, and other ex­tended fam­ily and friends.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sun­day, Nov. 12, 2017, at the Peters­burg Chapel of J.T. Mor­riss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral ser­vice will be held at 11 a.m. on Mon­day, Nov. 13, 2017, at Ma­toaca United Methodist Church, 6301 River Road, South Ch­ester­field, VA 23803, with in­ter­ment to fol­low in East Ma­toaca Ceme­tery. In lieu of flow­ers, memo­rial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to Ma­toaca United Methodist Church.
