Hopewell par­tic­i­pates in drug take-back

HOPEWELL — On April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of The 15th Na­tional Pre­scrip­tion Drug Take Back ini­tia­tive, the Hopewell Po­lice Depart­ment, in con­junc­tion with the Drug En­force­ment Ad­min­is­tra­tion (DEA), will give the pub­lic an­other op­por­tu­nity to pre­vent pill abuse and theft by dis­pos­ing of po­ten­tially danger­ous, ex­pired, un­used, and un­wanted pre­scrip­tion drugs.

As part of the ini­tia­tive, the Hopewell Po­lice Depart­ment is ask­ing cit­i­zens to bring their ex­pired and no longer needed med­i­ca­tions for dis­posal to the Hopewell Po­lice Depart­ment’s col­lec­tion site lo­cated at 300 N. Main Street in Hopewell.

No nee­dles or sy­ringes will be ac­cepted at the col­lec­tion site. The ser­vice is be­ing pro­vided free and anony­mous with no ques­tions asked.
