NIGHT SKY ADVENTURE: Our solar system is filled with comets and asteroids of various shapes and sizes. To learn more about these objects, astronomers have sent spacecrafts to land on both comets and asteroids. ALBANY, A WALKING TOUR: A guided walking tour highlighting downtown Albany’s historic places and magnificent architecture. Tours depart the Albany Visitors Center at Quackenbush Square at 11 a.m. on the second Thursday and fourth Friday of every month from May to October. $3 per person.
ARTISTS’ RECEPTION: Brothers Henry and Daniel Austin-Avon exhibit their artwork in their inaugural joint show, on display now at Rock Hill Bakehouse Café at 19 Exchange Street in downtown Glens Falls. PLAYS IN PROGRESS: Plays in Progress and Hudson Hall present “Taking a Stand,” an afternoon of staged readings of short pieces written and produced by the playwrights, actors, and directors of Plays in Progress. CONCERT ON THE GREEN: The Poestenkill Historical Society’s annual Concerton-the-Green will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at 7 p.m. on the Town Hall lawn. “Winchester and Young” will be playing classic rock in harmony.
