TROY - Francis J. Murloving ray, 93 passed away on Wednesday September 13, 2017, surrounded by his loving family family.
Born and raised in Troy, he was the son of the late Francis A. Murray and Mary Nolan Murray. Fran - cis graduated from St. Patrick’s School, Troy High School, Siena College and University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Busi - ness. He attended University Catholique L’oeste in Angers, France, University Grenoble Alpes in Greno - ble, Frances and Sorbonne in Paris, France. Fran - cis served proudly in the United States Army during World War II in Burma and India; his unit was attached to the British Army in the CBI Theater. He worked for the Watervliet Arsenal in the recruiting department, retiring in 1984.
Francis was a member of the Arsenal Flying Club and a parishioner of St. Augustine’s’ Church and a Right to Life.
He is survived by his siblings Paul Murray, Donald Murray, Joanne ( Albert) Caron, Rosemary Lattof and James Murray, his nieces and neph - ews, his nineteen grand twelve nieces and nephe nephews and one great grandniece, his sister in law Diane Murray.
Predeceased by his siblings John Murray, Gavin Murray, Robert Murray, Norine Murray, Bernadette Gettings, his brother in laws William Gettings and Ted Lattof, his sister in law Barbara Murray.
Relatives and Friends are invited and may call on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 4: 00 pm to 7: 00 pm at the McLoughlin & Ma - son Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Fu - neral service Monday, September 18, 2017 8: 45 am from the funeral home and 9: 30 am at St. Augustine’s Church 25 115th Street, Troy. Burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy. Memorial donations may be made to St. Augustine’s, Preserva-tion Fund 25- 115th Street, Troy, NY 12182.
