HALF­MOON - Lester E. Slade, 91, died peace­fully Sun­day Novem­ber 12, 2017. Born in Troy he was the son of the late Les­lie and Anne Stephen­son Slade. He was ed­u­cated in Lans­ing­burgh schools.

Lester was a plas­ter son and a mem­ber of the Brick­lay­ers and Al­lied Craft Work­ers Union in Al­bany. He re­tired in 1989. He en­joyed danc­ing and so­cial­iz­ing with fam­ily and friends. He was a vet­eran of the US Army and served in World War II. (The Great­est Gen­er­a­tion)

Sur­vivors in­clude his de­voted wife of 64 years Mary Con­nors Slade and his lov­ing chil­dren De­boCurCopBran­don. rah Cop­pola (Joe), San­dra J. Mil­ter and Lester Slade of Me­chan­icville. He is the brother of Shirley tis and proud grand­fa­ther of Brad E. Cham­ber­lain (Jen), Joseph D. Cop­pola (Carolyn), Sean M. pola and Joyce Lue (Kevin) and great grand­fa­ther of Joshua, Sam, Nathan and

Fu­neral ser­vices will be Fri­day at 10 am at Philip J. Bren­dese Fu­neral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), WafolCem­friends ter­ford. In­ter­ment will low at Ger­ald BH Solomon Saratoga Na­tional etery.

Rel­a­tives and may y visit at the fu­neral home on Thurs­day from 4-7 pm.
