As­tron­omy club plans star par­ties

LITCH­FIELD — Litch­field Hills Ama­teur As­tron­omy Club con­tin­ues 2018 Star Par­ties Oct. 19 and Nov. 16.

A talk on astro-imag­ing, about the fun and chal­lenges of tak­ing high-qual­ity im­ages of plan­ets, star clus­ters and gal­ax­ies, will be held Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. Im­ages taken by mem­bers of the club will be fea­tured. The talk will be in the A.B. Ceder room at White Memo­rial Con­ser­va­tion Cen­ter. If the weather co­op­er­ates, there will be ob­serv­ing of plan­ets and stars af­ter­wards.

The last star party on 2018 will be held on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. It will be­gin with a talk on a topic to be an­nounced later. If the weather co­op­er­ates, there will be ob­serv­ing of plan­ets and stars af­ter­wards.
