Miriam Garnet Husted of Harleysville
Miriam Garnet Husted, age 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at the Peter Becker Community, Harleysville.
She was the loving wife of Guy L. Husted for 53 years.
She was a daughter of the late Wilbert and Clara E. (Brand) Lightcap.
Miriam graduated from Lansdale High School, Class of 1944, and recently celebrated her 72nd Class Reunion.
Mrs. Husted worked at the Philco (Ford) Plant as a grid inspector and, later, a housewife. She was a lifetime member of Lansdale Court Order of the Amaranth and a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale.
Surviving Miriam are her children, Carolee Landis of Perkasie, I. Terrence Thompson, of Providence, RI, and Jeffry D. Thompson of Trumbauersville; her grandchildren Dwane Landis of Perkasie, Matthew Landis of Dublin, Janell Souder (Reuben) of Perkasie, Laura A. Cybak of Lansdale, and Cindy M. Telencho, of Wexford, PA; her great-grandchildren, Brandon, Katelyn, & Brittany Souder, all of Perkasie, Amber Thompson, of Souderton; and her brother, Luther Lightcap (Betty), of Harleysville.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Erwin Ford; and her grandchildren, Jeffry J. & Theresa C. Thompson.
A Memorial Service will be held noon Friday, Sept. 30, in Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, where relatives and friends will be received after 11 a.m. Inurnment will be held in Lansdale Cemetery following the service.
