Woman reported being attacked; police seeking help from the public
Hatfield police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation of an assault and robbery that occurred in the township.
Police responded to the 3100 block of Penn Street around 10:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, and spoke to a female who reported being attacked by two men while walking home from work by herself, according to a press release from township police.
Police say the female described the men as being in their 20s or
30s and wearing dark clothing. She was thrown to the ground and robbed, according to police. The men then fled on foot, and the female
contacted an area resident who called 911, police said.
The victim was treated and released at AbingtonLansdale Hospital, according to police.
“Hatfield detectives are working are working with both the victim and with evidence recovered at the
scene to help identify these suspects,” the press release states.
