Richard L. “Dick” Yuengling Jr., owner of D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc., announced Friday that the Yuengling brewery will donate $50,000 to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief.

“Our hearts go out to those who have been impacted by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey’s destruction,” Yuengling said.

In an effort to support victims who lost their loved ones and homes and are without basic amenities, the brewery invited consumers, employees and partners to join the effort by donating to the Red Cross through the company’s website, www. yuengling.com.

“This donation will help with relief efforts and continue to help in recovery efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone, including our employees, who have also been affected,” Wendy Yuengling, chief administrative officer, said. “Please join us in supporting those communities that have been impacted.”
