Ma­bel A. Bensinger, 82, of Pottsville, passed away Fri­day at Holy Fam­ily Manor, Beth­le­hem.

Born in Mount Car­bon, July 14, 1935, she was a daugh­ter of the late Charles I. and Emily Kraft Ebling.

She was the widow of Charles W. “Buddy” Bensinger, who passed away June 25, 2013.

Ma­bel was a mem­ber of Trin­ity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, and had been em­ployed by the Pottsville High School, work­ing in the cafe­te­ria.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­ceded in death by a son, Charles Bensinger Jr., and a brother, John Ebling.

She is sur­vived by a son, Mark A. Bensinger, hus­band of Barbara, Northamp­ton; a daugh­ter, Su­san A. Tarantino, White­hall; grand­chil­dren, Mark Allen Bensinger II, Vic­to­ria Bensinger and Alex Tarantino; sis­ter, Con­nie Brown, Pottsville; brother, Ralph Ebling, Glen Bernie, Md.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life fu­neral ser­vice will be con­ducted at 10:30 a.m. Tues­day at Trin­ity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Harold Hand of­fi­ci­at­ing. A view­ing will be held at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Mon­day. An ad­di­tional time for view­ing will be held 9:30 a.m. Tues­day un­til the time of ser­vice at the church. In­ter­ment will fol­low the ser­vice at Schuylkill Me­mo­rial Park, Schuylkill Haven. At the fam­ily’s re­quest, me­mo­rial do­na­tions in Ma­bel’s name may be for­warded to Trin­ity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
