Den­nis “Denny” Kristoff, 80, of Kaska, passed away peace­fully Thurs­day at Le­high Val­ley Hospi­talCedar Crest, Al­len­town.

Born in MaryD, June 25, 1937, he was a son of the late Ge­orge and Estella Bunk Kristoff.

He was a mem­ber of Holy Cross Ro­man Catholic Church, New Philadel­phia, and a life­time mem­ber of the Kaska Vol­un­teer Fire Com­pany.

He was a self-em­ployed heavy equip­ment op­er­a­tor for K&P Coal Co. for many years and re­tired from Stoudts Ferry Prepa­ra­tion Co.

He was a lov­ing fam­ily man and a strong, hard worker. Denny was a kind of man that was al­ways there to lend a help­ing hand to all. His mem­ory will be cher­ished by his fam­ily and friends. He will be greatly missed.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, he was pre­ceded in death by two broth­ers, John and Lenny Kristoff.

Denny is sur­vived by his wife of 59 years, Emma Riz­zuto Kristoff; one daugh­ter, Denise Miller and her hus­band, Jeff, Kaska; two sons, Den­nis Kristoff Jr. and his wife, Theresa, Pottsville, and Michael Kristoff and his wife, Re­becca, Kaska; three broth­ers, Ge­orge Kristoff, Bris­tol, William Kristoff, Le­vit­town, and Bernard Kristoff, Tus­carora; two sis­ters, Joanne Noth­stein, Kaska, and Ar­lene Tomey, New Philadel­phia; un­cle, Ed­ward Kristoff, Brock­ton; sev­eral grand­chil­dren; step-grand­chil­dren; nieces and neph­ews.

Mass of Chris­tian Burial will be cel­e­brated at 11 a.m. Mon­day at Holy Cross Church, New Philadel­phia, with the Rev. Ronald J. Min­ner as cel­e­brant. View­ing will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Mon­day at Thomas J. Bar­tashus Fu­neral Home, New Philadel­phia. In­ter­ment will be in Schuylkill Me­mo­rial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
