Rose M. Lesko, 89, of Ma­hanoy City, passed away Mon­day morn­ing at her res­i­dence.

She was born Nov. 8, 1928, Shenan­doah, a daugh­ter of late Ge­orge and Bar­bara Thomas Lesko.

She was re­tired from the lo­cal gar­ment in­dus­try, a for­mer in­sur­ance agent for JEDNOTA, and she liked go­ing to the casino and play­ing the lot­tery.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­ceded in death by a brother, Ge­orge Lesko; a sis­ter, Anna Klatka.

Rose is sur­vived by two broth­ers, Ed­ward Lesko, Es­sex, Md., and Eu­gene Lesko and his wife, Ju­lianne, Perry Hall, Md.; nieces and neph­ews; great-nieces and -neph­ews; great­great-nieces and -neph­ews.

A Mass of Chris­tian Burial will be cel­e­brated at 10 a.m. Satur­day in St. Teresa of Cal­cutta Ro­man Catholic Church, Ma­hanoy City, by the Rev. Kevin Gal­lagher. In­ter­ment will fol­low in St. Mary’s Ceme­tery, Ma­hanoy City. A visi­ta­tion will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Oravitz Home for Funer­als Inc. has been en­trusted with the ar­range­ments.
