Dolores M. Weller, 84, a res­i­dent of We­ston Liv­ing Cen­ter at Pine­brook, Or­wigs­burg, passed away Tues­day.

Born in Pottsville, on Feb. 1, 1934, she was a daugh­ter of the late Harry and Ruth Kuhl Hin­kle.

She was the wi­dow of Ross H. Weller Sr., who passed away Jan. 22, 2013.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents and hus­band, she was pre­ceded in death by her brother, Harry Hin­kle.

She was a grad­u­ate of Pottsville Area High School, and re­tired af­ter work­ing as a cus­to­dian for Blue Moun­tain High School.

Dolores was a mem­ber of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Sum­mer Hill, Auburn.

She is sur­vived by three daugh­ters, Su­san Weller and com­pan­ion, Terry Cas­ner, Pine Grove, El­yse Gil­bert and hus­band, Mark, Schuylkill Haven, and Jennifer Hen­ning and hus­band, Mark, Blooms­burg; and son, Ross H. Weller Jr. and wife, Bar­bara, Wayne Town­ship. Dolores is also sur­vived by grand­chil­dren, Ge­orge H., Daniel and Jes­sica Elo, and Tyler and Justin Weller; and great-grand­chil­dren, Ka­ressa and Sarah Edwards, and Nathan and Brandon Elo.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life fu­neral ser­vice will be con­ducted at 10:30 a.m. Tues­day at EblingStabin­gas Fu­neral Home, Cres­sona, with the Rev. Kath­leen Ash-Flash­ner of­fi­ci­at­ing. A view­ing will be held from 9:30 a.m. un­til the time ser­vice Tues­day at the fu­neral home. In­ter­ment will im­me­di­ately fol­low the ser­vice at Schuylkill Me­mo­rial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Vi­o­let S. Herb, 92, a res­i­dent of Green Val­ley Skilled Nurs­ing Cen­ter since Jan­uary and formerly of Main Road, Pit­man, passed away Wed­nes­day at Geisinger Shamokin Area Com­mu­nity Hospi­tal, Coal Town­ship.

Vi­o­let was born in Spring Glen, on Feb, 17, 1926, a daugh­ter of the late Maude B. Shade and Harry E. Hoke.

She grad­u­ated from the for­mer Hub­ley Town­ship High School in 1943.

She was a seam­stress for lo­cal area fac­to­ries and worked with her hus­band in agri­cul­ture.

She was a mem­ber of the Ma­han­tongo Fire Com­pany Women’s Aux­il­iary and helped with the Ma­han­tongo Val­ley Am­bu­lance As­so­ci­a­tion for many years.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Clif­ford W. Herb, who passed away July 9, 1997. She was also pre­ceded in death by seven sib­lings, Dorothy Mitch, Don­ald and James Dun­leavy, Leon, Charles, Mar­lin and Harry Hoke.

Vi­o­let is sur­vived by two daugh­ters, Linda D., wife of Mar­lin Heim, Pit­man, and Au­drey A. Herb, Harrisburg; a brother, Clay­ton Hoke; three grand­chil­dren, Mon­ica Straub and her hus­band, Brad, Harrisburg, Lanette Beebe and her hus­band, Steve, Hud­gins, Va., Mar­lin C. Heim, Win­field; seven great-grand­chil­dren, Lau­ren Beebe, Rochelle Straub, Li­lah Beebe, Jacob Beebe, Brady Straub, Ben­jamin Heim and Brae­lyn Heim.

A view­ing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Satur­day at St. James Lutheran Church, Main Road, Pit­man, with the fu­neral ser­vice fol­low­ing at 10 a.m. with Pas­tor Lau­ren Blatt of­fi­ci­at­ing.
