Fall Fes­ti­val time at pi­o­neer ever­green

ORWIGSBURG — The an­nual Fall Fes­ti­val at Pi­o­neer Ever­green Farms is in full swing on Fri­days, Satur­days and Sun­days through Oct. 28.

“It’s our fa­vorite time of year,” Ken­neth Fetherolf, pro­pri­etor, said in a press re­lease.

The event fea­tures more than 40 ac­tiv­i­ties, ac­cord­ing to the re­lease, in­clud­ing at­trac­tions rang­ing from a 200foot moun­tain slide and scenic moun­tain hayride to a new chalk house and rope maze.

Con­ces­sions in­clude home­made soups, burg­ers, chicken ten­ders and ap­ple cider as well as treats such as fun­nel cakes, cot­ton candy, home­made ap­ple dumplings and ap­ple pie.

Started in 2008, the event is mark­ing its 10th an­niver­sary.
