POTTSVILLE — The Lehigh Valley Physician GroupSchuylkill has introduced a new medical practice regarding pulmonology to Schuylkill County, according to a press release.

Pulmonology is an area of medicine that focuses on the health of the respiratory system, according to the release, which adds that pulmonologists treat everything from asthma to tuberculosis.
Kelly Moore, vice president of operations for LVPGSchuylkill/ Hazleton, said in the release, “Schuylkill County has been in need of enhanced pulmonary medicine services and this new practice is already making a difference for our local residents.”
Flaim and Miller are also consulting physicians for patients admitted to Lehigh Valley Hospital- Schuylkill.
“Recruiting primary care practitioners and specialists has been a strong focus of Lehigh Valley Hospital- Schuylkill and LVPG,”
William Reppy, president of LVH– Schuylkill, said in the release.
Flaim earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing both an internal medicine internship and medical internship at PCOM and a pulmonary/ critical care fellowship at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Stratford, New Jersey.
He has authored numerous clinical publications and has been a frequent presenter to professional organizations. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Internists.
Miller earned his medical degree at Philadelphia Col-
lege of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating first in his class, according to the re
lease. He completed an internal medicine residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network and a fellowship in pulmonary/ critical care at Drexel University College of Medicine/ Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia.
He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Physicians and Sigma Sigma Phi Honors Society. He also has authored numerous clinical publications.
