The Auburn Fire and Am­bu­lance group will spon­sor a Lunch with Santa at the am­bu­lance build­ing at 11 a. m. eliz­a­bethville

The Eliz­a­bethville Area His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety will meet at 7 p. m. Nov. 19 at Trin­ity United Methodist Church, 25 E. Frackville

The Frackville Ro­tary Club spon­sors the dis­tri­bu­tion of the­sauruses to sev­enth- graders at North Schuylkill Ju­nior/ Se­nior High School, Foun­tain Springs, and at Trin­ity Academy in the Fa­ther Wal­ter J. Ciszek Ed­u­ca­tion Cen­ter, Shenan­doah, with pro­grams on how to use the books. At­tor­ney Karen Do­ma­lakes and Frackville Ro­tary pres­i­dent Suzanne Do­ma­lakes re­cently pre­sented the pro­grams. Karen Do­ma­lakes has de­vel­oped a les­son plan on Ro­tary and the use of the learn­ing tools. Suzanne Do­ma­lakes is a re­tired ed­u­ca­tor and li­brar­ian with ex­pe­ri­ence in teach­ing ju­nior high stu­dents, ac­cord­ing to a Ro­tary press re­lease, which also notes that Ro­tary In­ter­na­tional has a goal of en­hanc­ing ed­u­ca­tion world­wide.

Ma­hanoy city

Good Amer­i­can Hose Com­pany will have a soup and bake sale be­gin­ning at 11 a. m. Nov. 17. Soup va­ri­eties in­clude beef veg­etable, potato, chicken rice, chicken noo­dle, ham and bean and stuffed pep­per. The cost is $ 6 a quart and $ 3.50 per pint. Shenan­doah

Columbia Hose Com­pany No. 1, Cen­tre Street and Sta­dium Road, will have “Sip & Paint a Snow­man” be­gin­ning at 6 p. m. Jan. 19. Par­tic­i­pants will paint a ce­ramic snow­man with friends while en­joy­ing com­pli­men­tary snacks and bev­er­ages. A sou­venir wine class will be in­cluded. The cost is $ 40. Shenan­doah

A hol­i­day ven­dor show to ben­e­fit the Shenan­doah Val­ley High School Class of 2022 will be held from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Dec. 2 at the Wil­liam Penn Fire Com­pany, Mount Olive Boule­vard ( Route 54 just west of Shenan­doah). Or­ga­niz­ers are look­ing for crafters and ven­dors. tamaqua

The Tamaqua Area Mid­dle and High schools will have a Vet­er­ans Day assem­bly at 7: 25 a. m. Mon­day in front of the high school. The pub­lic is in­vited to the cer­e­mony that will honor all vet­er­ans.

West ha­zle­ton

The West Ha­zle­ton High School Class of 1969 re­union com­mit­tee is plan­ning a 50- year re­union to be held in Au­gust. The panel is seek­ing cur­rent ad­dress of class­mates and ask­ing class­mates to pro­vide up­dated ad­dresses by call­ing Sandy Schugardt Marsch at 570- 956- 0605.

The Wil­liam Penn Fire Com­pany, Mount Olive Boule­vard ( Route 54 just west of Shenan­doah), is hav­ing an “Al­most Ar­mondo’s” un­baked pizza sale, ad­vance- or­der- only, with pick­ups af­ter 3 p. m. Fri­day. The cost is $ 10 for plain, $ 12 for pep­per­oni and .75 cents ex­tra for hot sauce. The or­der dead­line is Mon­day. There will be no walk- ins or de­liv­ery for the pizza sale.
