PsU- schuylkill cross country places at nationals
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Penn State Schuylkill’s men’s and women’s cross country teams achieved their highest finishes in school history at the USCAA Cross Country National Championships on Friday.
Led by Willie Streisel, who finished in 21st place with a time of 28: 35 on the 8K course, the PSU- Schuylkill men placed seventh in a field of 19 teams. Adam Bahrey placed 41st in 29: 40. Ian McGowan ran 30: 46, finishing 60th; while Matt Derr clocked a 30: 47 to place 61st. Kevin Stancavage placed 63rd in 30: 52. Tristan Dickey ran a time of 33: 00 to finish 88th. Omar Walker placed 91st in 33: 07. Jason Liverpool placed 99th in 33: 41, followed by Nico Granito, 108th in 34: 36; and Eric Thompson, who placed 130th in 40: 52.
Led by two- time PSUAC champion Alexis Luna, the PSU- Schuylkill women finished eighth in a field of 17 teams. Luna ran a time of 25: 49 on the 6K course, placing 17th. Jennie Li finished 38th in 28: 54. Melissa Ramirez placed 47th in 30: 55. Carly Teaschenko ran 33: 35, placing 57th; while Jasmine Canales placed 61st in 34: 35.
