THEFT FROM VEHICLE » A wallet containing a driver’s license, a debit card and various medical cards valued at a total of $20 was taken from a vehicle parked on the 5000 block of Wissahickon Avenue between 3 and 5 p.m. Sept. 6, police said. There was no forced entry, police said.
BURGLARY » A woman reported she had been evicted from a residence on the 5400 block of Wissahickon Avenue Aug. 25 and returned with permission Sept. 7 to find items were missing, police said. Taken were two TVs, a laptop, an Xbox One, a PS4, a PS3, a Nintendo Wii, an Echo Dot, 38 video games, 20 Blu-Ray discs, a surround sound system, a set of wedding bands, a necklace and a cat valued at a total of $3,635, police said.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE » A bag containing a book valued at $150 was taken from a vehicle parked on the 3000 block of Lincoln Drive between 10:30 and 11:45 a.m. Sept. 8, police said. The front passenger side window had been broken, police said.
RETAIL THEFT » A dryer and a hand towel valued at a total of $110 were taken from Rite Aid, 3601 Midvale Ave., at 6 p.m. Sept. 8, police said.
THEFT » A wallet containing credit cards, an ID, checkbooks and $10 cash valued at a total of $185 was taken from a woman’s pocketbook at Falls Taproom, 3749 Midvale Ave., at 6:35 p.m. Sept. 9, police said. An attempt to use one of the credit cards was made at Walmart, 4600 Roosevelt Blvd., at approximately 7 p.m., police said. Video surveillance captured a 5-foot, 9-inch, 170-pound black man wearing a dark black cap, a blue jacket, camouflage pants, white sneakers, white sunglasses and a gold chain take the wallet, police said.
THEFT » Youths had placed two cellphones valued at a total of $600 on a bench on the 3000 block of West School House Lane while they played basketball at 3:45 p.m. Sept. 10, police said. Three boys asked to join their game and then took the cellphones and fled on foot, police said.
