Local play­ers and po­lice of­fi­cers gather for a pre-game photo. As part of the Peace Day Philly cel­e­bra­tion, of­fi­cers from Fifth Po­lice District took on local soft­ball play­ers in a good­will con­test at the Ken­drick Recre­ation Cen­ter in Roxbor­ough last Wed­nes­day, Sept. 20. Events from around the Philadel­phia region co­in­cided with the In­ter­na­tional Day of Peace and were designed to fos­ter im­proved re­la­tions within com­mu­ni­ties.
