The 21st Ward Vet­er­ans As­so­ci­a­tion held a can­dle­light prayer vigil at Gor­gas Park to com­mem­o­rate the 17th an­niver­sary of the 9/11 at­tacks. Bruce Hoff­man, pres­i­dent of the 21st Ward Vet­er­ans As­so­ci­a­tion, acted as mas­ter of cer­e­monies. State Rep. Pam DeLis­sio, D-194, and clergy from var­i­ous churches in the com­mu­nity spoke, laud­ing the brav­ery of first re­spon­ders on the scene. The Roxborough Ridge Run­ners also dis­played some vin­tage cars at the event.
