Pints for North Light to re­turn

Nov. 15 fundraiser to sup­port com­mu­nity cen­ter

Lo­cal brew­eries will be on site at the Manayunk Brew­ery & Res­tau­rant, 4120 Main St., Manayunk, and will be pour­ing as part of the an­nual Pints for North Light fundrais­ing event set for Thurs­day, Nov. 15.

Brew­eries will in­clude At­tic Brew­ing Co., Bald Birds Brew­ery, Cape May Brew­ing,

Crime & Pun­ish­ment, Evil Ge­nius, Le­vante Brew­ing, Manayunk Brew­ing Co., Round Guys Brew­ing with an au­tumn brown ale brewed for the event, Stone and Wissahickon Brew­ing Co.

Home brew will be of­fered by the brew­ers at St. Ti­mothy’s Epis­co­pal Church.

At­ten­dees can also try a sig­na­ture cock­tail made with Lib­erty Gin from the W. P. Palmer Dis­till­ing Co. on Shurs Lane.

Area res­tau­rants will be of­fer­ing food to en­joy with the beer, in­clud­ing pizza from the Couch Tomato, hoa­gies from Da­lessan­dro’s, sweet potato fries from the Daw­son Street Pub, pulled pork slid­ers from Deke’s Car­ry­out & Cater­ing, sushi from Dream House Asian Bistro, an­tipasto boards from San­tucci’s, as­sorted ap­pe­tiz­ers from The Spicy Belly and cheeses­teak eggrolls from Throw­baxx Bar & Grille.

All this is in­cluded in the ticket price, along with a com­mem­o­ra­tive pint glass.

Ad­di­tional in­come comes from event spon­sors. This year Pints is sup­ported by Bryn Mawr Trust, Cop­per Street Real Es­tate, Crime & Pun­ish­ment, East Main Manayunk Apart­ments, Foun­tain Street Auto, GLASSWorks, the Law Of­fices of Peter L. John­ston, Lucky’s Last Chance, McGovern & As­so­ci­ates and Throw­baxx Bar & Grille.

Pints has raised more than $109,000 in fund­ing for North Light since it be­gan 10 years ago, which helps to con­tinue ser­vices for more than 3,000 Philadel­phi­ans an­nu­ally. This past year, North Light’s food cup­board pro­vided more than 177,000 pounds of goods to neigh­bors, the cen­ter’s sum­mer camp chil­dren learned the city’s his­tory and the Youth Work­force De­vel­op­ment Ini­tia­tive pre­pared 175 young adults for suc­cess.
